Install and update Bloomingo on a Mac
Bloomingo for Mac needs macOS 13 or later, on a Mac with Apple silicon or Intel. It is one download for both.
Install it
Section titled “Install it”-
Choose Download for Mac on the download page. Bloomingo.dmg goes into your Downloads.
-
Open Bloomingo.dmg. A window shows Bloomingo beside your Applications folder.
-
Drag Bloomingo onto the Applications folder.
-
Open Bloomingo from Applications, Launchpad or Spotlight. The first time, macOS asks whether to open an app downloaded from the internet. Choose Open.
Today’s board opens, and your 14-day trial starts. There is nothing to set up: no account and no card.
You can eject the disk image and move Bloomingo.dmg to the Bin afterwards. Bloomingo runs from Applications.
Updates
Section titled “Updates”Bloomingo checks for a new version when it opens and once a day after that, while you’re online. A new version downloads quietly, and nothing pops up.
- When one is ready, the sidebar shows Update ready, with Restart. Restart saves everything, puts the new version in and opens Bloomingo again where you were.
- Or leave it: the new version goes in the next time you quit Bloomingo.
- The first time it opens after an update, it says “Updated to Bloomingo 1.0.1.” for a moment.
Settings › About shows the version you have. Check for updates asks now, and What’s new opens the changelog. Every update is included in your licence.
Remove it
Section titled “Remove it”Quit Bloomingo and drag it from Applications to the Bin. Your boards stay on the Mac, in
~/Library/Application Support/app.bloomingo, until you delete that folder too. Export them first if you want to keep
a copy (Settings › Import and export).
