Terms of sale and the licence

What you buy when you buy Bloomingo, and what happens after.

Last updated 24 October 2026.

Who sells it

Bloomingo is made by Doddle Software Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16256282, registered office 127 Foundry Lane, Southampton, SO15 3LD, England. Our order process is run by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, tax and invoices, and answers questions about your order.

Try it first

Bloomingo is free for 14 days from the first time you open it, with every feature and no card. Nothing is charged when the trial ends. After it, your boards stay readable and you can export them; to keep editing, you buy a licence.

What a licence covers

  • One licence covers your computer, tablet and phone, on up to 5 devices at once.
  • A device you haven't used for 60 days stops counting, and so does one you remove in Settings.
  • Every update and every feature added later are included for as long as Bloomingo is sold. There are no paid upgrades.
  • Sync between your devices is included, with 1 GB of storage for pictures and PDFs.
  • The licence belongs to the email address you buy with. Sign in with it in Bloomingo to unlock it on your devices.
  • The licence is for you, on your own devices. You may not resell it, share it beyond your devices, or copy, change or take apart the app, except as the law allows.

The price

  • You pay once. There is no subscription. The price is shown before you pay, with any VAT or sales tax included, as Paddle works it out for where you are.
  • The price rises in steps as licences sell: $49 for the first 100, $59 for the next 200, $69 for the next 300, then $79 for good. The price you see at checkout is the one you pay, and a price never goes back down.
  • Students pay $39 with a school email address, one student licence for each address.
  • A creator's code takes $10 off the price of the day.

Refunds

If Bloomingo isn't for you, you can have your money back within 30 days, with no questions asked. Therefund policy says how. A refund, or a chargeback, ends the licence.

If Bloomingo stops

Your boards live on your devices, and you can export everything at any time: notes as Markdown, files as they are and boards as JSON. A licence you've unlocked keeps working on that device without our servers. Sync needs our servers: if we ever stop running them, we'll email every buyer at least 30 days before, so you can export what you need.

Our responsibility to you

We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill, but not for loss that wasn't foreseeable. If Bloomingo damages a device or other digital content of yours because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we'll repair the damage or pay you for it. Bloomingo is for your own use: we aren't responsible for business losses, such as lost profit or a business interrupted. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, and nothing takes away your rights as a consumer.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in another country, you keep the protections of the law where you live, and you may bring a dispute in your local courts.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, we update the date at the top. A licence you bought keeps what these terms said when you bought it. If a change matters to what you bought, we'll email you before it takes effect.
